Our Story

What could be better than enjoying tea with a friend?

That's how this journey started, with two friends reminiscing about how fun it would be to open a teahouse together. Daydreams became a reality when Hillary, Aaron and Ed began experimenting with different tea blends.

 

Our name, Cedar and Rose, showcases our love of the Pacific West Coast, where both Hillary and Aaron grew up. The official tree of British Columbia is the Western Red Cedar and Vancouver's flower is the Rose.  These two plants really idealize the contrast of the west coast, where rugged nature meets elegant beauty.  We want our tea experience to offer the same magnificent juxtaposition, while also showcasing the amazing flavors that British Columbia has to offer!

Our journey continues as we search for a place to open the Cedar & Rose Tearoom; where all are invited to relax, celebrate, and create memories in an elegant and nostalgic dining space.  For now, please check out our Markets page to find out when we'll be popping up next - stop by, say 'hello', maybe even try one of our custom teas!
